Talkin' to Marlo

So I just got off the phone with Marlo, who is going to work at MCYM in Germany. We met at candidate school and had a great time and have been playing phone tag for months. She just got back from Slovakia and the yearly mission project that the Club Beyond kids do. I know that I needed to talk to her today.

I needed a fire lit under me. I am such a stress-free person that I haven't been putting much pressure on myself to do what needs to be done. Talking to Marlo was the kick I needed. She was telling me about the kids and how amazing it was to be over there and to meet everyone and how she knows it is going to be so great when I get over there. She said "Take the best kid you have ever had and multiply them times 10. The kids are so amazing. It may be because they are so needy, but they are just hungry. They hang on to your every word and are so passionate about their walks."

Then I remembered how badly I wanted this and how much I feel called to do this. In order to do this, I have to ask for money. It is a part of the job. It is what will make me available to this ministry. And I feel like I am back on track. God must have known I needed that today. I am so excited for tomorrow.
